French Olive and Bacon Cake
Difficulty:

Preparation time:
60min.
I made this cake the other day when our friends Saskia and Lasse came over for dinner. It’s a specialty from Marseille, in the South of France. It’s easy to make, the only trick is to NOT add salt because the olives and the bacon are very salty already!

Ingredients
- 20cl of olive oil
- 20cl of dry white wine
- 4 eggs
- 100g of Gruyère cheese
- 200g of bacon
- 200g of pitted green olives
- 250g of flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
Instructions
- Mix first the wine, the olive oil and the eggs.
- Add the flour and the baking powder.
- Add the bacon, the cheese and the olives.
- Bake 45 min at 180ºC in a buttered loaf pan.
You can serve the cake in slices with green salad as a main dish or in cubes with a shallot, yogurt & parsley dip as an appetizer!

Ca me dit qqchose dis donc ;) Mais je savais pas que c’etait de Marseille.
