Crunchy Chocolate Truffles with Rum and Orange
Difficulty:

Preparation time:
2h.
I like truffles a lot but I can only eat 2 or 3 max every 6 months… I mean it’s too much chocolate at once isn’t it?! I checked on Wikipedia and it says they were invented both by John Labarge in 1625, and Antoine Dufour in 1895. I don’t know which is true, so well congrats to you both I guess!!

Ingredients
- 350g of dark chocolate
- 50g of cream
- 50g of rum
- 1 orange zest
- 7g of honey
- cocoa
Instructions
- Heat the cream with the honey and the zest of the orange.
- Break 200g of the chocolate and let it melt in the cream. Add the rum.
- Let the chocolate sit in the fridge for 1h, until stiff.
- With a teaspoon, make balls the size of marbles.
- Melt the rest of the chocolate in the microwave with a bit of water and use it to cover the truffles.
- Finally, cover them with cocoa.
PS: I didn’t have cocoa powder so I covered them with chocolate powder instead!
