Breton Shortbread Chocolate Cookies
Difficulty:

Preparation time:
2h.
Those cookies were really awesome. I love the shortbread texture and they tasted good too. I guess if you are not used to it, they might seem a bit dry, but they are ideal to be served with tea or coffee. You can try to add more or less chocolate on the cookies too. I usually like to prepare a really intense chocolate icing, but it’s up to your taste. Let me know how you liked them!!

Ingredients
- 150g of flour
- 75g of butter
- 60g of sugar
- 3 yolks
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- salt
- 125g of dark chocolate
- 150ml of milk
Instructions
- Melt slightly the butter and mix it with the sugar and the yolks.
- Mix the flour, the salt, the cocoa and the baking powder. Add it all to the butter preparation.
- Mix gently the dough and make a roll with it. Leave it in a fridge for about 30min.
- Cut the dough roll in slices and bake them in the pre-heated oven for 15min at 190ºC.
- Boil the milk and then pour it slowly on the chocolate. Mix until it is totally melted.
- Leave it in the fridge for about 1h and then use it to cover the cookies.
Enjoy!!
