Apple & Cinnamon Pie

This was my first time preparing an apple pie ever, although I’ve seen my mom and many other people do it many times. I don’t know I usually think they taste a bit boring, but today I had a few apples to spare so I thought why not? To increase a bit the taste, I decided to add some apple compote and sugar, which is coincidently much easier than preparing the usual eggs and cream filling. The result was really tasty, bu the pie was a bit more wet than expected.

Apple & Cinnamon Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry
  • 3 Fuji apples
  • 1 cup of apple compote
  • 50g of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Peel, core and slice the apples.
  2. Cover the puff pastry with apple compote, on a pie plate.
  3. Fill the crust with the apples.
  4. Spread the brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  5. Place in the pre-heated oven for about 15min at 220ºC.
