Ham & Cheese Croissants
Difficulty:

Preparation time:
1h
My mom sent me this recipe and what a great idea! The croissants were awesome, although it said on the recipe to use cottage cheese and I used grounded Gruyère instead. The only think I struggled with was the folding of the croissants so after a while I gave up and just made small pastries. It didn’t change the taste too much…

Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry
- 50g of grounded Gruyère
- 25mL of heavy cream
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- 50g of cooked ham
- 1 garlic clove
- salt, pepper, thyme
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the onions and the garlic with the olive oil.
- Add the cheese, ham and cream and cook them until the cheese is all melted.
- Place the puff pastry on greaseproof paper and on an oven grid.
- Cut the dough in 6 triangles and place a teaspoon of the stuffing on the base of each triangle.
- Roll the triangles to form croissants, starting from the base to the tip.
- Paint the top part using a brush with the yolk.
- Place the pastries in the preheated oven for 15 min at 210ºC.
Serve hot or warm with a green salad.
Bon appétit!
